Patina! Had a blow over in the states bout 30 years ago, had aged well, has decent original paint underneath, as can be seen on the O/S rear quarter, came up nice, but lost the will too live at this point so didn’t do the rest of the bus. The patina extends to sun fade, dents, scratches, and had a smack in the rear many years ago in the states.

Runs very well, the old 1600 SP is a best forgotten memory!
History:
Loads of it, also including stuff from the original owner with picture, and crazy letter! And nearly forgot to mention that all locks works off the same key!
General:
This is an awesome bus, drives very well, and will get you anywhere, not slow at all, and keeps up with modern traffic, engine runs well and holds a good temperature. I have driven all over in this, including to France and Belgium, ive racked up so many miles in the 4 years I have owned it. We have camped in it a lot, very warm and quiet, with a lot of features and comforts. Ive put a lot of time, thought and money into this to make it an extremely usable 51 year old bus. Its always kept in the garage, and as far as I know, its been kept in the garage most of its life when not being used. Its as safe as any bay can be to safely transport 2 adults and 3 children with my always over engineered seat belt configuration. Is it perfect? No it isn’t, its old, but cool, the front screen surround will a repair in the future, I would say in a couple of years. But its an honest bus that will give the next owner a lot of pleasure. It’s the longest ive ever owned an aircooled bus, its been that good! I haven’t used it since last October tho, and been scoping out a new project for a while. I do miss my 58 split, so I may go back to one of those head aches! I may deck out my T6, I fancy a dodge challenger too! Not sure where I am going next, only that its time for a change. Drop me your phone number I’ll give you a ring, we can talk and go from there.
Thanks for looking!!
