For sale - 1957 oval window Swedish beetle..

History - this beetle was put back on the road by bugpeople.nl.. once found it had a body off pan Resto with plenty of build pictures to show, the quality of work still shows today the underneath is immaculate and requires no work at all. the beetle has been featured in hayburner magazine a few years back with an amazing article.

Body - the body is all original including wings Decklid and Bonnet, the body was left original and still wears its L41 black paint really well I would describe the paint as survivor and looks great! All doors shuts are perfect and windows all oringal and in great condition, semaphores work perfectly and are original part units and are not repro rubbish, they have fitted flashing LED bulbs which are a great edition, I have original rear popouts to go with the car if the asking price is met.

Interior - the seats back and front and are original to the car and they are in fantastic condition with one small repair to the passenger seat which was professionally stitched, the car now benefits from all new carpets as the original carpet was getting very worn, I still have the original carpet to be sold with the car, all the door cards are also original and in fantastic condition considering the age of the car. the dash is uncut and it has its factory speedo radio steering wheel etc. Everything works including all electrics.

Mechanicals - the beetle runs a later more powerful 1200 which has been amazing and runs great, recently had a complete overhaul, The gearbox is a matching 1200 gearbox and a new clutch fitted early this year, the brakes have been overhauled recently as well and are new. It has a 4” narrowed volksprojects beam and 2.5” dropped disc spindles from m7, The front brakes are 5x130 discs and the rears have been upgraded to long axels to run later more powerful brakes also 5x130 so no adaptors.

Wheels - the oval is currently running chrome detailed 4.5 and 6j fuch with detailed centre caps and will come with the car I also have the original black steels that came with the car these can be worked into the deal if needed.

Air ride - the air ride is from volksprojects and comprises of a very neat install with the compressor tucked behind the spare wheel and tank under the bonnet it's a professional install and everything has been hidden well. Testament to the build It has never let me down. The front is air shocks and the rear has air bags. There has been no notching or tubs in this beetle at if you wanted to you could remove all the air ride and turn it back to stock no issues. The air ride also works off remote control on the keys. The toggles inside the car have been made to work from the radio switches. The whole air system and lowering parts can all be removed the car can be turned back stock etc if the new owner wanted to.
