Verkaufe - 1956 VW OVAL BEETLE 6v, GBP 14250

Right, here it is.. Up FOR SALE is my 1956 Oval Beetle.

Imported from Holland as a project in late 2017, now fully DVLA registered and roadworthy in the UK.

Originally a Swedish car, my LHD 56 Oval has had a full build over the past 2 years. Everything you would expect to have been done to the car has been done. With all the necessary structural welding completed to a good standard with c&c panels (heater channels, sympathetic rear 1/4 repairs, rear bumper mounts, A pillars etc. I kept as much original metal as possible). I then blended in the repairs to match the original paint on the bodywork.

The beetle is running a 5” Narrowed adjustable beam, with Fully rebuilt T2D dropped spindles up front. Dropped spring plates at the rear with limebug short shocks.

Static lowered, never scrapes at this height. Flat rear floor pans and a tiny pie cut to allow wheels to clear headlight bowls.. no engine raise at the rear but I never have any clearance issues , working heaters all Connected and working perfectly!

6v Electrics with working semaphores and rear custom snowflake LED indicators , Full custom wiring loom professionally fitted by the man himself @aircooled auto_elec_nw . Very tidy install that all works perfectly on 6v, but could easily be converted.

Original Black Paint paint preserved where possible. - Currently running a slightly later 1200 early 60s engine that came with the car, completely stock with working heat. Brand new starter motor & full top end engine rebuild with new parts.

All new carpet inside (on top of sound insulated panels) and original rubber cargo floor mats. Running an early 60s interior but the new owner could change this to a period correct set if they wanted to make it their own.

Everything you would expect to be done has been done to this car, the whole drum brake system overhauled with new hard and soft lines, all new components and a dual circuit master cylinder fitted.

This is the most awesome car I’ve owned and will be very hard to part ways with.. But my bay window bus now needs building and I can’t keep both!
