I bought the car in 1998 from a swedish museum north of Stockholm where a lunatic had broken in and trashed the whole place with an axe..!
The car had been in the museum for many years, but sadly the guy shattered all glass on the car, so the museum just took the car outside, and left it for many years.
Luckily the weather north in Sweden is very dry, so the car never rusted, just got a beautiful patina from the sun.
I restored the car mechanically, and drove it for a few years, and collected really nice "period correct" parts for it:
I found an ad in USA where a gentleman sold a 30hp Judson kit, complete withe the original pressuregauge..!! (Very rare)
The gentlemans son bought the kit in 1967, mounted it on his car and drove it, but unfortunately he was too focused on the pressuregauge, and drove right into a tree and totalled his car.
The Gentleman removed the judson kit from the wreck, and stored it in a cardboardbox for more than 30 years until he sold it to me.
I found a brand new "122" industrial 30hp engine, ported the heads, and put it in the car with the Judson kit, i even found a Judson badge i riveted in the decklid. The engine runs like a dream.
Other things i found for the car includes: an set of seats in almost perfect condition, a period correct "Berg" shifter, a set of EMPI bumperbars in polished stainless steel, a period correct roof rack, an original EMPI wood steering wheel and a set of restored original EMPI lemmers Sprint Star wheels.
The idea was to build a car that could have been built by a car enthusiast in the start of the 60ies, with the parts that was avaliable at the time.
The car has never been welded (to my nowledge), and dont need to be, i have converted it to 12V for dependability, and everything works, even the semaphores (see the video)
The car lives in Copenhagen, and is very reliable; has been all around Europe: Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden
The price is without the toolkit and the Empi steering wheel (i will exchange it for the original batwing steering wheel)
