For sale - 1959 Swedish LHD Ragtop (factory fitted) Beetle , GBP 11,750

Believed to have been off the road since the 70’s the car was discovered in a lock up in 2016 in Helsingborg (Sweden) by Anderson Collectables from a guy who’s family had owned it from new. The car was soon sold on to Kais Collection in the Netherlands who had it recommissioned and traded it with a buyer in the UK in 2017.
Shortly after being imported the new owner sent the car off to Wolfsburg Wizards who carried out further work including; having the car MOT’d (no advisories), full service (oil change, new plugs points and condenser, clean carb etc.), new fuel line, new fuel reserve tap, new ragtop (outer), new clutch, new braking system, engine tune, paint wheels, new tyres, new shocks, rear pop outs windows.
Mostly OG Garnet red paint with some nice patina, it looks like there has been some repairs to the quarter panels. The floors look original with no repairs. As always the paint looks better in the photos – it is quite patchy – being 60 years old!
The interior appears to be all-original and in great condition, the back seat has some staining but there are no rips etc. and the door cards are near perfect. The ragtop/roof internally as you would expect is stained but appears to be original and all works ok.
Everything works as it should do. The Car runs great and is a pleasure to drive. It has been on long trips since being in the UK.
