The end of the fun is the possession of the thing. And in this case, there is some truth in that. I have enjoyed this unique bus very much over the past few years. But now it's time to let someone else enjoy it. I have set my sights on another German beauty.
In 2022, I found this originally American lady in Belgium. She had been brought to Europe by a Belgian from Michigan (together with his then bride).
In the Netherlands, a VW specialist made her roadworthy and roadworthy again. They did all the welding and installed a 1600cc replacement engine. The brakes and suspension have also been completely renewed.
The “work of art” emerged later. It turns out that various works of art have been painted on the bus over the years. (photos are available)
I am now also in contact with the artist who painted this bus.
If you want a head-turner, this is the ultimate bus. It has already put a smile on many people's faces. And it is a popular talking point at many VW meetings.

The bus has new window rubbers and windows.
It has a Rusty Lee bed. The bed spans the full width, so you can create a double bed with a flick of the wrist.
