Vends - 52 RHD standard, GBP 59500

1952 RHD Standard, 2nd oldest windowed RHD known in the world.

Full structural restoration by Matt Smith completed in 2016. Complete chassis rebuild and all original metal work saved where ever possible. All replacement metal is either original German panels or Classic Fab. Underside has been fully raptor coated in grey raptor.
Outside is approx 65% original paint with original ghosted sign writing on the cargo doors. All other paint has been aged and blended to match the original faded brown brown paint.
Running gear is a air valley bespoke centre idler pin beam, with dropped spindles. Front brakes are Fellows wide5/Porsche adaptable rotors running willwood callipers.
Rear end has a Bears freeway flier box, running straight axles and transporterhaus adjustable spring plates. Custom rear shock mounts have also been added.
Motor is a solid 1600 unit that drives and pulls well.
Interior wise, there is the original dash pod and switches, grab handle and foot rest are both present. Fully functional piano hinge door tops. Repro base and backrest seat in the cab, along with Fabrik Mike door cards and kick panels. In the rear is a basic camping interior which has also been fully sound proofed.
Wheels are staggered 4.5 and 5.5 original Sprintstars. Aged and match the look of the bus perfectly. No scrubbing due to the front and rear arches being tubbed. Sterling box is also tubbed for clearance.
Electric wise a new VW looms loom has been installed, all electrics work.
Other things to note, correct age related glass all round, all new rubber seals, recent metal repairs to bottom of cargo door completed by sublime classics, and repainted by Ste Parsons to blend in. Rear section of cargo shelf also replaced by sublime. VW rack shack full length rack can be included at the right price. Sure I’ve missed bits, so please contact me directly with any questions.
